Research from the Rahmouni lab featured on the cover of the Journal Molecular Metabolism.

For the cover of its February issue, the journal Molecular Metabolism has selected the article by Balyssa Bell, a Pharmacology graduate student in the laboratory of Kamal Rahmouni, PhD. Ballyssa’s article entitled “Differential Contribution of POMC and AgRP Neurons to the Regulation of Regional Autonomic Nerve Activity by Leptin” dissected the role of 2 neuronal populations of the hypothalamus in mediating the regulation by the adipocyte-derived hormone, leptin, of the activity of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems subserving multiple organs and tissues. The article was also highlighted by an Editorial Commentary published in the same issue of the journal. Congratulations Balyssa and Kamal.
