The University of Iowa’s Department of Internal Medicine has had a history of membership in the Association of University Cardiologists (AUC). Most recently, Isabella Grumbach, MD, PhD, a Diabetes Research Center member, professor in Cardiovascular Medicine and Vice Chair for Research, has been nominated and elected to the AUC. Founded in 1961, AUC is a national organization for the country’s leaders in academic cardiology. The organization is limited to an active membership of 135 academic cardiologists from the United States, elected by their peers. The elite group meets once per year in January for a two-day session of scientific exchange.
Join us in congratulating Dr. Isabella Grumbach in this wonderful achievement!
